What it does

Everything Classroom shows you, laid out so the next thing to do is obvious.

New posts, fast

Class Ping keeps an eye on your classes and tells you within seconds when something new is posted, with a desktop notification and a short chime.

A real to-do list

Posts are sorted into sections, so homework is not buried under announcements. Tick things off when they are done.

Due dates you can see

Every deadline is shown plainly on its post, and what is due soon is easy to spot.

Attachments in the app

Photos, PDFs and videos open inside Class Ping. Words printed in photos and PDFs are read on your PC, so search finds them too.

Search everything

Look through every post at once: its words, the words inside its attachments, its class and the teacher's name.

Comments

Read a post's comments and write your own, with bold, italics and lists, without opening the browser.

Optional AI

Off unless you turn it on. With your own key, an AI can write a one-line "what to do" for each post and translate posts into English.

Quiet in the tray

Close the window and it keeps checking from the tray. It can start with Windows if you want it to.

Five themes

Study Lamp, Parchment, Chalkboard, Midnight Ink and Ebony: dark and light, all easy on the eyes.

The sections

  • To-Do
  • All posts
  • Homework
  • Classwork
  • Important
  • Extra
  • Notes

Sorting happens on your PC. Move a post to another section and Class Ping learns from it.

How signing in works

Class Ping opens Google Classroom in Google Chrome on your own PC. You sign in once, on Google's own sign-in page, the same way you would in your browser. Class Ping never sees, types or stores your Google password. After that it reads the posts you can already see in Classroom and shows them to you, sorted.

There is no Class Ping account and no Class Ping server. Nothing about your classes is sent to us.

What it uses, and why

Your classesTo know which classes to check, and to show each post with its class.
Posts, assignments, questions and materialsThe whole point of the app: to show them to you, sort them, show their due dates, and notify you when a new one appears.
AttachmentsTo open them inside the app, and to read the words in photos and PDFs so you can search them. This happens on your PC.
Names and pictures of teachers and classmatesTo show who posted or commented, the way Classroom does.
CommentsTo show a post's comments, and to post a comment when you write one.

All of it is kept only on your PC. Class Ping has no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and it never sells or shares your data. If you turn on the optional AI, the text and photos of each post are sent to the AI company you chose. The privacy policy has every detail.

Under 13, parents and schools

Class Ping is made for students, and some of them are under 13. It has no accounts and does not collect anything about you: what it reads stays on your PC. The only thing that can ever reach us is a message you choose to send from the feedback window. If you are under 13, ask a parent or teacher before you send one, and leave your name and email out. Parents can ask us to delete anything we have: see Children in the privacy policy.

Class Ping reads a school account, so your school's own rules for that account still apply.
